Fred Kumetz, CEO of eData Services and Board of Trustee member of the Health Information Management Association of the Philippines (“HIMAP”), served as Moderator at the Health Information Management Services 2016 Conference (“HIMS2016”), on a Panel titled “Electronic Claims Processing in the Philippines: Is Change Coming Soon?”

The conference was held on September 15, 2016 in Manila, Philippines.  It was sponsored by the HIMAP, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (“DICT”) of the Republic of the Philippines.

The panel consisted of Sam Matunog, V.P. of Segworks; Ted Herbosa, M.D., Chief, Division of Trauma Dept. of PGH; and Bobby Crisostomo, Division Chief IV of PhilHealth.

The program addressed the Philippine National Health Insurance Program through PhilHealth in its endeavor to support the use of technology in the delivery of health care services such as telemedicine, electronic health records, and the establishment of a comprehensive health database.
